In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi-led BJP secured nearly 32 percent of the total votes, who, according to this popular meme recommended by the Congress social media in-feed, might be considered “silly.” Responses to Spandana’s late Wednesday night tweet have been critical in tone. One read, “Did That one of these two is as a whole lot of a failure in ACTING as she is heading an IT cellular?”

Another Twitter user responded in a comparable taste with an image of Congress party president Rahul Gandhi’s vision, the text of which study reads, “Did 3 out of 3 Rahul fans are as stupid as Rahul himself?” This isn’t always the first time that the social media head of India’s oldest political birthday party has made insulting comments on a social media platform. In September last year, Spandana was booked for sedition over a tweet calling the Prime Minister a “thief.”

The tweet had a photoshopped photograph of the Prime Minister painting the word “chor” — or thief — on the forehead of his statue. The picture became captioned #ChorPMChupHai. Observers sense Spandana’s derogatory tweet has a stark resemblance with Hillary Clinton dismissing Donald Trump’s supporters as a “basket of deplorable” inside the run as much as the 2016 US Presidential elections. Clinton’s commentary incensed an extensive supporter base of Donald Trump, who brought Trump a shock victory at the hustings.

Speaking at a fundraiser in New York City, US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton stirred controversy when she said that half of Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorable.”

Spandana isn’t always the most uncomplicated social media head of a celebration responsible for off-coloration postings on the social networking internet site. BJP’s IT Cell chief Amit Malviya also made comparable barbs at Congress leaders inside and beyond.

After the Gujarat meeting polls in December 2017, the BJP IT Cell chief Malviya targeted India’s first high minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, for a micro-running blog website. In a tweet with an image of Nehru hugging his sister, Malviya mentioned that the top primary minister of India was a womanizer.
